Sawnee emc montly billing11/2/2023 ![]() We are paying these outrageous prices, so the Executives can make million dollar salaries/bonuses. March One (1) Block 26.00 per month 15. A household with that usage could see about 26.25 in savings. What is the cost to participate in the program Blocks of solar electricity will be billed, via the member’s Sawnee EMC billing statement, as follows: Period April Sept. When I was with Georgia Power, I never had a monthly bill over 60 during my 4 years with them. Not to mention I was only charged based on consumption, not a base fee then consumption. The average household in Sawnee EMC uses 1,500 kWh per month, spokesperson Cindy Badgett said. Try asking for budget billing, ha, even more hilarious because it was the same amount as my ridiculously high monthly bill associated with them. I was with GA Power for over 13 years and never had a bill this high and my AC ran twice as much as it does in the new place. Did they have to purchase 100% of everyone else's? Not to mention, I had to give them $5.00 just to become a member and then pay them a connection fee. You mean to tell me they had to purchase 100% of the electric I received. They based the amount they charged for the purchased power on the total amount of my KWH. Then they charged an additional fee because they had to purchase power. First tier is one rate for the first 500 KWH and then another rate for anything over 500 KWH. Sawnee EMC Pay Now Download the Sawnee EMC app to pay your bill, view power usage and bring push notifications about your account to you on your mobile devices. First of all, what is this base charge of $10.67 that everyone is charged just for the heck of it, and then you are charged on consumption in two tiers. ![]() ![]() The rates Sawnee is charging are horrible. I will certainly be looking for alternative service options. Only after reading complaint boards did I find out that the deposit is kept for 30 months.I am completely disgusted about how the employees handled a long time customer. Their employee couldn't even tell me how long the deposit was kept. I paid they amount asked for, not knowing about these fees, only to find out later about them.IN ADDITION, Sawnee's deposit requirement for new customers is absolutely ridiculous. After speaking with multiple employees including the "Director of Customer Service"(which took 5 times of asking for), I was left with no resolution other than to contact my bank who had nothing to do with the disconnection of service. In addition, the first 3 employees failed to disclose a $35 disconnection fee and a $15 late fee. In addition, Sawnee left me with no choice but to pay the overages on a Sunday(since they don't have customer service on Sunday) and try to have the overages refunded to me the following Monday. Spoke with 4 different employees over 2 days who were unwilling to help a customer who has been with Sawnee EMC for over 6 years. Horrible customer service response to an errored disconnection or service leading to multiple charges.
